All boards are handmade using locally sourced hardwoods. Wood is dried and surfaced to prevent warping and cracking. All boards are 100% food-safe, never using any dye or stain and only high quality wood safe glues. Our boards are finished with several coats of food grade mineral oil to protect the grain and polished with a coat of beeswax to prevent the penetration of moisture.
Photos are for style reference only. Because wood is a natural product, each and every board will be unique and we cannot guarantee a particular grain pattern. If you have an aesthetic or pattern you like, please let us know when you submit your order and we will do our best to try and match your request. Due to the nature of wood to move, length and width dimensions may vary up to 1/4” from the listed sizes. If you have exact requirements, please reach out and we’d love to chat about a solution.
There are a couple easy steps for maintaining your boards so they continue to look great and last for many years:
When washing your boards, always allow boards to dry on their edges to prevent warping.
The food safe finishes we use will naturally wear away over the course of use and washing. It is recommended to reapply a food safe board butter or board wax every so often. If your board is starting to look dry and doesn’t have the soft feel like it did when you received it, this is your cue to reapply the wax or butter. We do not sell wood butter or board wax at this time, but will gladly recommend you to some products we’ve had success with and use on our personal boards!
